Whilst much of knowledge management is about providing tools to let people find the know how they are looking for, good knowledge management includes helping people stay up to date with what is going on.  Sysero provides the ability to create alerts that monitor internal and external knowledge sources.  These can be delivered as daily emails or as a real time news feeds.

Sysero groups sources of knowledge as Channels which are managed centrally. Users can be subscribed to Channels but can also manage their own channels from their Account Management page within Sysero.

Sysero includes an Email Template designer to allow organisations to create branded HTML alerts.  Each Channel can have a separate template or share a common look and feel.

Templates can provide updates on knowledge and tasks with within Sysero and from external sources using news feeds (aka RSS Feeds).  

 

 

As well as getting a daily email, Sysero users can also search an archive of the external knowledge as part of the Universal search feature.

Where RSS feeds are not available, Sysero can setup a “webpage scrape” to convert most news web pages into RSS feeds.  Alternatively we can also convert an existing email newsletter into an RSS feed so it can be added to the system.  Whilst social media sites can be included, this does depend on their license agreements which are subject to change.
